About The Happy Gardening

The Happy Gardening is a friendly home for honest, beginner-tested gardening advice. We started this site because most gardening content online is either too academic to read or too vague to act on. We wanted somewhere a busy parent, a balcony grower, or a first-time homeowner could land, find a clear answer, and actually grow something.

Our story

It started with a single tomato plant on a small balcony and a long list of questions: how much water, when to feed, why are the leaves turning yellow? After a season of trial-and-error, we realized the same issues come up for almost every new gardener. So we began writing the guides we wished we had: practical, friendly, image-rich, and tested by real hands in real backyards.

What you’ll find here

  • Gardening Hacks — smart shortcuts for soil, watering, pests, and tools.
  • Vegetable Growing — planning, planting, watering, and harvesting your own food.
  • Flower Care — keeping flowers blooming with low-fuss routines.
  • Indoor Plants — light, water, troubleshooting, and the easy houseplants worth owning.
  • DIY Garden Ideas — raised beds, trellises, paths, and weekend projects.

Our promise

Every guide on this site is written for clarity first. We avoid jargon where we can, link to deeper guides where you might want them, and update articles as we learn more. If something on this site doesn’t work for you, please tell us — we read every email.

Who writes here

The site is run by a small team of home gardeners. We’re not certified horticulturists, and we don’t pretend to be. We are passionate, careful, and obsessed with making the first season of gardening feel achievable for anyone.
